Roger Lynn Parry, 67, Marion, passed away on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at his home after a brief illness. Roger's wishes were cremation with no services. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his son, Nicholas Parry; his granddaughters, Riley and Preston; his brother, Dennis Parry; his sisters-in-law, Judy (Dennis) Parry, Sandy (Gary) Feaker and Susan Wagamon; his brother-in-law, Robert (Coleen) Lathrop; and his stepfather-in-law, Robert Steuber; several nieces, nephews; and his beloved dachshund Herky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Marie Parry; and his in-laws, Ruth and Robert Lathrop.
Roger was born Feb. 16, 1954, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Irvin and Marie Parry. He graduated from Kennedy High School and attended Coe College.
Roger worked many years as a sales representative for Allen Motor Co., Hamilton Medical, and as general manager for Golf Headquarters. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan, accomplished golfer, track and field enthusiast, and loved watching or attending sporting events with friends and family.
