Roger L. Greiner, 75, of Keota, died on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Greiner of Keota; four children, Julie (Tim) Stout of Washington, John (Angie) Greiner of Tiffin, Janelle (Aaron) Lawson of Rock Island, Ill., and Jeana (Todd) Lane of Marion; nine grandchildren, Jordan (Carter) Hesseltine, Emma Stout, Brooke Stout, Wyatt Stout, Alex Greiner, Peyton Greiner, Olivia Greiner, Brettlyn Lane and Crennington Lane; brother, Dennis (Lois) Greiner of Keota; sister-in-law, Lois Greiner of Washington; and brothers-in-law, Don Gunderson of Dike and Larry Schachel of Carbondale, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Clayton and Chandler Greiner; three sisters, Mary Jo Gunderson, Joy Schachel and Norma Stutzman; brother, Jerry Greiner; and brothers-in-law, Leroy Stutzman and Bill Redlinger.
Private family funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Robert Lathrop officiating. The service will also be livestreamed on the Powell Funeral Home facebook page. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemeteries-St. Mary's Cemetery in Keota. Mask usage and social distancing will be required.
A memorial fund has been established for Holy Trinity Parish, the Lions Club or Keota Fire Department. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is caring for Roger and his family. Tributes may be made at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
