Roger George Hardy, 65, of Cedar Rapids, died of natural causes in his home on Wednesday, Aug. 20,
2014. A gath-ering for fam-ily and friends will be 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at 7708 Winston Dr. NE, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Hardy; daughter, Jamie Corlett; stepchildren, Mike Leuenberger, Brian Phillips, Vicki Boerema and Cindy O'Leary; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Margaret (Pauldy) Hardy.
Roger was born Aug. 23, 1948, in Schenectady, N.Y. He attended Judson High School in Arizona. Roger served in the United States Army until 1975. Roger was a welder and blacksmith and worked for Universal Engineering and Iowa Specialties. On Nov. 24, 2005, he married Carol Soukup in Las Vegas.
He enjoyed golf, bowling and going to Las Vegas.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the family.
