Roger Edward Slade IV, newborn son of Roger E. and Gina (Gerleman) Slade III, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. To honor Roger's life, family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m., on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street. There will be a prayer service held at 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday with Rev. Dianne Grace officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Those left to cherish Roger's memory include his parents, Roger and Gina Slade III, Cedar Rapids, IA; and his grandparents, Donna (Greg) Slade-Welp, Dubuque, IA, Roger (Julia) Slade Jr., Bacolod City, Philippines, and David Gerleman, Swisher, IA. Roger was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce Gerleman. He will also be laid to rest beside his great-grandparents, Roger and Peach Slade.
We want to thank our Midwife Dawn, our Doula Rohana, the Cedar Rapids First Responders, Doctor Bemus, our nurses Mya and Chloe. You all were amazing and we are grateful for all your support and help. Each of you matter and we recognize you, because you make a difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
