Roger Dale Lacock passed away on February 18, 2025, at Brookside Care Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Roger was born on April 23, 1934, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Ralph and Frances (Stoneking) Lacock. On October 18, 1953, he was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Marjorie Bassett.

Upon graduating from high school, Roger enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and served for four years as a B-36 turret system specialist

and instructor. As a benefit of serving, Roger received the G.I. Bill and completed his formal education at the University of Iowa, earning a B.S. degree in commerce, and Master of Arts degree in Hospital and Health Administration.

Roger and his family moved to Racine, Wisconsin, in 1964 when he was appointed administrator of the Racine Medical Clinic, which he managed for 30 years.

Active in community affairs, Roger was a Cub Scout leader, chaired the United Way funding committee, and was active in the Kiwanis Club of Greater Racine and Kiwanis Club Foundation. He served on the board of directors of Heritage (Johnson) Bank, Wustum Art Museum, and Racine Harbor Commission.

Roger and Marj were active in the Racine art community and were instrumental in resurrecting the Monument Square Art Fair.

He enjoyed going out on Lake Michigan on the D-D, and having bloody Mary's at the Mosquito Inn with his great friends.

Roger lost his beautiful wife, Marj, in 2021 after 68 years of marriage. He was also predeceased by his parents, his sister, Beverly Blakely, his brother, Don Lake, and nephews, Richard and Ronald Lake.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Laura (Gary) Kastelic, and his son, Martin (Jean) Lacock. He was extremely proud of his grandchildren, Sara (Jeff) Horein, Nathan Lacock, Emily Kastelic, and Caroline Kastelic. He is also survived by beloved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Brookside Care Center and Hospice Alliance for the wonderful care given to Roger.

Roger was blessed to have had a great life enhanced by a wonderful family, great friends, co-workers, and community.
