Roger D. Campbell, 56, of Victor, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor with the Rev. Brian Shepley officiating. Music will be provided by Marilyn Kriegel, organist. Casket bearers will be Joe Verdeck, Dennis Pirkl, Dave Rhinehart, Robert Hall, Neal Jack, Kris Kempf, Derek Campbell, Grant Hinrichs and Garrett Hinrichs. Honorary bearers will be Dave Beran, Steve Crow, Tom Curran, Jeff Gryp, Gary Hansen and Denny Refer. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Victor. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at the Victor American Legion Hall.

Roger was born on Oct. 10, 1958, in Marengo, Iowa, to Keith and Janice Blomme Campbell. He was raised in Victor and graduated with the class of 1977 from HLV High School. He attended Iowa Central Community College and played football for the Tritons. After his education, he worked for Bushong Construction Company of Montezuma, Kinze Manufacturing of Williamsburg and M&M Grain of Victor. He was recently a team leader for the Crow Shooting Supply Division of Brownell's Inc. of Montezuma.
Roger was a former member of the Victor Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry and spending time with his son and family. He was also an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Cubs and the Denver Broncos.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen (Gray) Campbell of Victor; his son, Sean Campbell of Dubuque; his parents, Keith and Janice Campbell of Victor; one brother, Chuck (Glenda) Campbell of Marengo; two sisters, Cathy (Jeff) Verdeck and Rita (Brad) Hinrichs, all of Victor; his mother-in-law, Nadine Gray of Hartwick; his brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Carol Healey of Victor; as well as 11 nieces and nephews; and 16 great-nieces and nephews.
Roger will always be remembered by his smile, laugh and ability to brighten everyone's day.
