Roger Anthony Robinson, 84, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at his home with his wife by his side. He was born on September 1, 1940, at his family farm in Silver Creek, the son of Anthony Thomas and Alice Elizabeth (Shaw) Robinson. Roger was a 1958 graduate of Coggon High School. He attended Iowa State University. Roger served honorably in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965.
On August 2, 1964, Roger was united in marriage to Carol Ann Schroder in West Union. Two children were born to this union. Roger farmed near Masonville for many years. Roger and Carol enjoyed wintering in Florida.
Roger was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church in Ryan. He served on several boards including the Zion Lutheran Church Board in West Union, the Delaware County Fair Board, and the Federal Land Bank Board. Roger was a member of the Ryan American Legion. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and his morning coffee groups. Roger loved farming and enjoyed being outdoors. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and his friends.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Carol Robinson of Manchester; his son, Christopher Robinson of Ryan; his daughter, Dr. Hilary (Holger) Roy of Brooksville, Florida; two grandsons, Christopher Michael Roy and Liam Shaun Roy; a brother, James (Nancy) Robinson of Winter Harbor, Maine; two sisters, Marilyn Meline of Stanton, Minnesota, and Donna Wolmutt of Marion; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Meyer of West Union and Gwen Schroder of Indianola; and several nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers-in-law, Harry Meline, Don Wolmutt, John Meyer, and Jeff Schroder; sister-in-law, Susan Robinson; and a niece, Wendy Wolmutt Blackburn.
The family wishes to express a special thank-you to Dr. Scot Christiansen and the caring staff at Care Initiatives Hospice of Manchester.

Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Peace Lutheran Church in Ryan, Iowa.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, Iowa.
Inurnment with Military Rites: Silver Creek Cemetery, Masonville, Iowa.
