RODERICK "ROD" DAEBELLIEHN

Roderick "Rod" Daebelliehn passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, in the comfort of his home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with a public rosary to begin at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tipton, with military honors.
Roderick Oliver Daebelliehn was born Dec. 7, 1939, to Frank and Norma (Brandt) Daebelliehn in Moline, Ill. He was united in marriage on May 27, 1972, to Jerri (Bender) Waddell and created a blended family like no other. He previously was married to Bonnie Meyer.
He worked 41 years at John Deere, retiring from product development in Silvis, Ill.
Survivors include the love of his life -- his wife, Jerri; children, Julie (Brad) Wuertz of Bettendorf, Jennifer (John) DeWitt of Moline, Rod (Jana) Daebelliehn of Folsom, Calif., Jon (Susan) Waddell of Davenport and Jessica Daebelliehn of Tipton; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
