Rodas, Alvin Ervin
Alvin Ervin Rodas, 57, of Farmersburg, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at the Elkader Care Center in Elkader. Private family services will be held. Interment: Gooding Cemetery, rural Farmersburg. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader.
Survivors include his children, Eric Rodas of Ossian, Elizabeth (Brian) Riley of North Liberty, Craig Rodas (Chelsea Welsh) of Elgin, Brian Rodas (Amber Bries) of Marshall, Minn., and Andrew Rodas (Beth Niel) of Farmersburg; his parents, Marvin and Jeanine Rodas of Elkader; a stepson, Chris Schmidt (fiancee Kayla McKee) of St. Olaf; four grandchildren, Cole, Jamison, Alayna and Kennedy; two sisters, Jennie (Bud) Levenhagen of Aurora, and Pat Peterson (Dave Whalen) of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
Alvin was preceded in death by a son, Shane Rodas; and a nephew, Billy Larkin.
