Robinson, Margie M.
Margie M. Robinson, 87, of Marengo, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Marengo Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at First United Methodist Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Matt German officiating. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.
A memorial fund has been established.
Margie is survived by her sons, Dana (Ginger) of St. Anne, Ill., Bruce (Mitch) of Belle Plaine and Kim (April) of Chapin, S.C.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vivian Waples (Carver) and Carlamae Fuller (Carl), both living in California; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Agnes Miller Andersen; her husband, Cecil “Kenneth” Robinson in 2004; her brothers, Quentin, Lennart, Marvin, Lester, Leslie, Clarence, Oswald, Arol, Kermit, Vincent and Gladwyn; and sisters, Severn Chivers, Viola Meseck and Asther Fischer.
Margie worked as a nurse at the Marengo Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Marengo Legion Auxiliary, First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She was past president of the Reinbeck Legion Auxiliary and Past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star. She was also past president of the Marengo Hospital Auxiliary.
