Robinson, Harold L.
Harold L. Robinson, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; three sons, Dale (Cyndi “Kookie”) Robinson of Cedar Rapids, Doug Robinson of Vinton, and Dennis (Suzie) Robinson of Vinton; six grandchildren, Heather, Sharon, Danny, Holly, Jake and Josh; and several great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Chet Robinson of Cedar Rapids and Neil (Betty) Robinson of Nebraska; and two sisters, Joan (Don) Speck of South Dakota and Ruby (Don) Peterson of South Dakota.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Riffey; a granddaughter, Denise Riffey; and two brothers, Ralph and Raymond.
Harold was born July 19, 1930, the son of Herbert and Vira (Hansen) Robinson in Wessington Springs, S.D. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. On June 16, 1954, he married Irene Moldrem in Plankinton, S.D. Harold owned and operated Robinson Homes.
Harold was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Shellsburg.
Instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Harold's memory.
