Robinson-Emerson, Gage Allen

Gage Allen Robinson-Emerson, 3 months, son of Dawn Smith and Thomas Emerson, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Gage was born with a heart defect and survived open heart surgery on Nov. 22, 2010, and got to come home on Feb. 9, 2011. He loved his swaddler and his binky and had a loud voice. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids by the Rev. Jim Blair. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Also surviving are his brother, Devin Robinson; grandparents, Lydia Johnson of Vinton, David and Michelle Johnson of Michigan, Susan and Brian Robinson of Garrison, Cindy Kay Emerson of Cedar Rapids and George and Christy Smith of North Carolina; great-grandparents, Jean Heitzmen of Virginia and Mary Robinson of Ohio; six uncles, seven aunts and six cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Pettit; and his great-grandparents, Donavon and Eyrlis Bremer.
