Robertson, Michael J.

Michael J. Robertson, 35, of Marion, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at his home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Becky High and the Rev. Dr. Kay Slocum. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Carly of Marion; two daughters, Jaelyn Robertson of Marion, and Ashley Neuhaus of Marion; his parents, Gregory and Janet Robertson; parents-in-law, Ed and Jeanne Langhurst of Marion; his grandparents, Dorothy Robertson of Cedar Rapids, and Wayne and Darlyne Perry of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Brook (Torrey) Frantz of North Liberty, and Sarah (Brock) Holub of Marion; and two nephews, Jaden and Ashton Frantz.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald A. Robertson.

Michael was born Sept. 17, 1975, the son of Gregory and Janet (Perry) Robertson in Cedar Rapids. He married Carly Langhurst on May 4, 2008, in Marion. Michael was an automotive tech and worked in construction.

Michael foremost loved his wife, his children and family. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, going on the boat, had a great love for animals and plants, and he had the gift of being able to fix anything. He also enjoyed music and his great sense of humor will be dearly missed.

A memorial fund has been established.
