Robertson, Harold A.
Harold A. Robertson, 83, a resident of the Hiawatha Care Center, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a long illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
Survivors include two brothers, Kermit (Betty) of Shellsburg and D. Keith of Dubuque; one sister, Marilyn (Floyd) Petersen of Kingston, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and a brother, Robert Wayne Robertson.
Harold was born June 28, 1930, in Vinton, the son of Harry and Mattie Noeller Robertson. He married Kathleen V. Uriell on July 28, 1958, in Cedar Rapids. Kathleen died in 2012. Harold was a machinist at Rockwell-Collins and retired from there after more than 36 years of service.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, traveling out west, mushroom hunting, gardening, listing to Lawrence Welk and especially the time spent with friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
