Roberts (Skeeter), Keith M.
Keith M. Roberts (Skeeter), 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Evergreen Estates, Cedar Rapids. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by his grandson, Aaron Brandon. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his daughter, Becky (Craig) Brandon of Cedar Rapids; grandsons, Jae (Maria) Brandon of Fredericksburg and Aaron (Cassie) Brandon of Wallkill, N.Y.; and brother, Billy (Betty) Roberts of Friendship, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marg; daughter, Pamela; and sister, Alberta.
Keith was born Feb. 20, 1924, in Toledo, Iowa, son of Earl and Bernice Roberts. He worked at Cherry Burrell as a machinist for 42 years. On March 23, 1946, he married Marjorie Lyon; she passed away in 1999.
Keith was an avid and longtime member of the Cedar Rapids Jim Beam Bottle Collectors Club. He was a former member of Asbury Methodist Church.
