Central City
Roberta M. Haley, 63, of Central City, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Marion, conducted by Pastor Dennis Johnson. The family also will greet friends one hour prior to service at the church on Monday. Burial will take place at Mount Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Roberta was born July 31, 1954, in Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Geraldine (Barnes) Kula. On Aug. 5, 1972, in Prairieburg, she was united in marriage to Allan Haley. Roberta was employed at Unity Point Health in Cedar Rapids for over 35 years, retiring on Jan. 19, 2018.
She is survived by her husband, Allan Haley of Central City; daughter, Amy (Carl) Lipke of Orangeville, Ontario, Canada; son, A.J. (Sonya) Haley of Marion; six grandchildren, Dara (Cory) Brietzke of Des Moines, Cammie (Dustin) Smith of Urbana, Sam Lipke of Charles City, Kristian Lipke of Orangeville, Ontario, Canada, Cooper Haley of Marion and Chase Haley of Marion; two great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Felicity Smith; and siblings, Gene Kula, Ken Kula, Margaret Grassfield, Karen Bulman, Sharon Dolan, Gary Kula, Joann Madison, Vernie Kula and Arnie Kula.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronnie Kula.
