Robert Wes Zamastil, 82, of Swisher, died March 29, 2018 in his home. A celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will be in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel.
Robert was born July 18, 1936, in rural Fairfax, the son of Wes and Emma Zamastil. He served in the U.S. Army near the end of the Korean conflict. He worked at Gee Construction for many years, until he began farming.
Robert enjoyed watching birds, gardening and flowers, as well as time spent farming.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Fairfax American Legion in his name.
