Robert "Rob" Joseph Wisner, 51, of Marion, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Visitation will be one hour
before the service at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy; two children, Madison and Jonathan; his father, Jerome Wisner; two brothers, Jim (Denise) Wisner and Dan Wisner; two sisters-in-law, Jeanie (Larry) Ball and Sandy Coon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Rob was born Jan. 8, 1963, the son of Jerome and Edwardine (Fisher) Wisner, in Chicago. He graduated from Lyons Township High School in La Grange, Ill., and the University of Iowa. On Aug. 26, 1989, he married Cindy Ewoldt.
Rob worked as an electrical engineer at Intermec by Honeywell. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and San Diego Chargers fan.
With Rob, family always came first. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for his children's college education.
