Robert R. Williams, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Services and burial will take place at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.
Robert was born March 7, 1935, in Valley Park, Mo., the son of Wesley and Ruby (Olney) Williams. He married Carmen C. Abbott on Dec. 5, 1991, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a retired airline captain for Ozark and TWA for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carmen C. Williams; children, Ralph (Jeannie) Williams and Sheila (Joe) Williams-Miller; stepchildren, Mike (Deanna) Mutchler, Molly Jones and Marty Mutchler, 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Mercy in memory of Robert.
