Robert G. Wayman, 83, of West Burlington, died peacefully Saturday morning, March 22, 2014, surrounded by family.
Born Feb. 24, 1931, in rural Elberon, he was the son of Everett and Evelyn Wayman. On Sept. 2, 1956, he married Magdalyn Ann Schlotterbeck in Atkins. She died April 18, 1997. On May 13, 1999, he married Rosemary Rita Koehler Banks in Danville.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary; two sons, Thomas (Rebecca) Wayman of Richmond Hill, Ga., and Richard (Aaron) Hooks-Wayman of Westford, Mass.; three stepdaughters, Tara (Eric) Dillard of Burlington, Holly (Paul) Armstrong of West Burlington and Brandy (Mick) Foster of New London; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Thielen Funeral Home in Burlington. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Harmony Bible Church, near Danville. Burial will follow that afternoon at St. Stephen's Lutheran Cemetery in Atkins.
