Robert M. Upah, 84, passed away at the Accura Health Care Center in Newton, Iowa, surrounded by his loving family. The family wishes to have an inurnment at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Chelsea, Iowa, at a later date.
Robert was born Sept. 12, 1936, in Brooklyn, Iowa. He was the son of the late Joseph F. and Mary (Reitzler) Upah. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish Robert's memory are his children, Cindy (Ken) Bidwell of Tama, Iowa, Randy (Julie) Upah of Chelsea, Iowa, Gary (Jayme) Upah of Tama, Iowa, John (Cara) Upah of Des Moines, Iowa, Mark Upah of Texas and Todd (Nicole) Upah of Toledo, Iowa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bernard Upah, Mary Lou Van De Walle, Paul Upah, Pauline Mensing and Linda Dubois.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Caroline, Joseph E. "Buster," Jane, Louise Ann and Jim.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
The family would like to give a special thank-you to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Accura Health Care Center for all of the love, support and care they showed to their father.
