Robert 'OB' (Larry) O'Brine Jr.
ROBERT "OB" (LARRY) O'BRINE JR. Cedar Rapids Robert "OB" (Larry) O'Brine Jr., 74, peacefully passed away surrounded by family and love on March 8, 2021.
Surviving are his loving wife of 38 years, Valrine "Hun Bun" Sissel-O'Brine; his daughters, Laciee (Shaun) O'Brine-Clinton, Lindsey (Nelson) O'Brine, Kerry O'Brine, Heidi Pyos and Keri Mercer; his beloved grandchildren, Landon, Loghan, Livian and Lennen Clinton, ReAnna O'Brine, Curtis Woosley and Terrin and Darrion Pyos; as well as three great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include siblings, Becky "Cookie" (Dean) Cheney and Jim O'Brine; mother-in-law, Darlene Sissel; brother-in-law, Brian Sissel; sister-in-law, Belinda (Bill) Wiggins; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred O'Brine; and father-in-law, John Sissel.
Larry was born March 1, 1947. He was a truck driver for most of his working life, with his favorite job being at AW Schmidt Transfer, where he met many of his lifelong friends.
Larry's passions were driving trucks, Harleys, fishing, family, friends, his many dogs he had over the years, and his land with the home he built in Swisher.
He will be missed by many. He was cremated and a Celebration of life will be held at a later date, details to be posted.
