Robert Lee Paul, 90, of Marion died Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Terrace Glen Nursing Home. Private family services will be held. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Mona; sons, Mark (Jean) Paul of Marion, Michael Paul of Newton and James Paul of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Brian Paul and Dustin Paul, both of Marion, Jessica (Josh) Immerfall of Iowa City and Lindsey Paul of Marion; and great-grandchildren, Gage, Kenleigh and Parker.
Robert was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Ann Marie; his brother,s Donald Paul and Douglas Paul; and his parents.
Robert was born on March 2, 1932, son of Howard and Jenna Everett Paul in Sioux Falls, S.D. He attended Immaculate Conception High School and enlisted in the Navy in 1952. On Nov. 17, 1956, he married Mona Kreutzer in Cedar Rapids. Robert worked for the city of Cedar Rapids as a water pollution supervisor for 23 years, retiring in 1994.
Robert enjoyed spending his time helping others and being a good neighbor. He liked spending time outside, tending to his yard and camping with his wife. Most importantly, Robert loved time with his family.
