Robert Donald Lattimer, 71, of Cedar Rapids, died April 28, 2014, at his home.
Robert was born Dec. 20, 1942, to Donald and Lillian (Minnis) Lattimer in Mon-ticello, Iowa. The family later moved to Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Washington High School in 1961 and then joined the Marine Corps. Bob proudly served from 1961 to 1966 and was "always a Marine." Upon honorable discharge from the Marine
Corps, he returned home to Cedar Rapids and was employed at Iowa Manu-facturing as a welder for many years. He later went into sales.
He married Linda Mischek and they later divorced. From this union was born two sons, Robert and Michael.
Bob moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., in 1987 and later to Reno, Nev. He returned to Cedar Rapids in August 2013 to be with family. In October, he purchased a condo of which he was very proud to call home.
Robert is survived by his sons, Robert (Heidi) and Michael, and their mother, Linda Trumm. He also is survived by sisters, Sue and Lily, and brother, Jim (Kathy).
He was preceded in death by his parents; his significant other, Ruby Reed; and sisters, Geri and Mary Ellen.
There will be a memorial service held at a later date to be announced.
