Robert E. Joslin, 80, of Anamosa, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at his home with his loving family at his side.
Robert Edward Joslin was born May 2, 1937, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Jay and Lucille (Engelbart) Joslin. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and was stationed in Germany. On Oct. 1, 1955, he married Vonita Ann (Harms) at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. Bob was manager and butter maker at the Amber Creamery and then worked at Wayne Hall Chrysler for over 30 years. He enjoyed going out to eat and loved being with his family and all his friends. He loved his dogs Annie, Mable and Angus.
Per his wishes, the family will have a private gathering in his honor.
In lieu of any services, the family requests a donation to an animal shelter in his name.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Vonita, in 1998.
Survivors include his daughter, La Rae (Greg) Heyl of Amber; son, Gregory Joslin of Monticello; three grandchildren, Tazia (Mandy) Gilbert Heyl, Gregory Heyl Jr., and Christopher Joslin and Kimberly Koopmann; and three great-grandchildren, Brantley, Paisley Jo and Lena Mae.
