ROBERT HUNTER
Cedar Rapids
On Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, our loved one, Robert Hunter, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Born in Lime Springs, Iowa, July 23, 1924, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and in 1948, he married Leola Porth.
They had two daughters, Bette Thumma (Leroy) from Anamosa and Debbie Smith (Jim) from Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He owned R.H. Silk Screen and was a gifted artist whose paintings hang in the homes of family and friends today.
Bob was a longtime member of Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church and will be greatly missed by many.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff at Mercy Medical Center and Mercy Hospice for their loving care in his home.
Per Robert's wishes, there will be no visitation or service at this time. Arrangements are being made with Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel.
Please leave a message for the family on the website www.cedar
memorial.com under obituaries.
Memorials may be directed to Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church, Mercy Hospice or to the charity of your choice.
God bless you. Papa. We love you!
