Robert Herman Golla was born in Estherville, Iowa, on Oct. 12, 1936. He is the son of Herman Golla and Mildred (Sheppard) Golla. He passed away on March 17, 2021, at Oldorf Hospice in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 84 years.
A Celebration of Robert's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021, at Henry Olson Funeral Home, 401 N. Seventh St., Estherville, Iowa, with Pastor Doug Burton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville.
Robert attended and graduated from Estherville High School. He obtained a Masters of Education Degree. Robert was an elementary school teacher for 20 years in Fairmont, Minn. Robert served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed showing dogs, reading, and watching sports. Robert was a member of the Corvette Club as well.
Robert is survived by his son, Gabe (Kellie) Golla of Marion, Iowa; his daughter, Andee (Brian) Grant of Palo, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Luke Golla, Haley Steciw, Cade Steciw and Casey Steciw.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Herman Golla; and his mother, Mildred (Sheppard) Golla Oulman.
