Robert "Bob" E. Gael, 71, of Cedar Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Northbrook Manor, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where the family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time. Pastor Mark Forstrom will officiate. Burial: Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Wanda; his children, Leah (Myron) Tomlinson, Anthony "Tony" Gael and Peter (Traci) Gael; and grandchildren, Robyn (Mike) Scanlon, Abby (Mike) Stuefen, Anderson (Kate) Gael, Alexander Gael, Kendra Gael and Matthew Gael.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob was born Jan. 5, 1944, the son of Eugene and Dorthea (Gehlaar) Gael, in Everett, Wash. On April 11, 1964, he was united in marriage to Wanda Anthony in Grandview, Iowa. Bob worked for Quaker Oats, where he retired after 38 years of service. He was a member of the New Covenant Bible Church.
