Robert G. Yelden, 87, of Strawberry Point, died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point and after 9:30 a.m. at the church on Friday. Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Dundee. Officiating the service will be Rev. Sandra Burroughs. Interment will be at Pineview Cemetery, Delaware. Survivors include is wife, Velma Yelden of Strawberry Point; 2 sons, Lynn (Debbie) Yelden and Wayne (Nancy) Yelden of Strawberry Point; 2 daughters, Ronda (Keith) Cronbaugh of Lamont, and Julie Kohl of Farley; 7 grandchildren; 2 stepgrandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Delphine Saunders of Des Moines.
