Robert M. "Bob" Feuerbach, 88, died Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Sunnycrest Nursing Center, Dysart, following an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone with the Rev. B. Andrew Wright officiating. Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.
Robert was born April 14, 1925, to Philip and Anna (Heitmann) Feuerbach in Keystone and graduated from Keystone High School in 1942. On June 30, 1946, he married Joyce Popp at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone.
Bob owned and operated Feuerbach Oil Co. in Keystone for 50 years, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone, a 40-year member of the Keystone Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Independent Oil Jobbers, the Keystone Turners, the Keystone Businessmen Club and a past member of Tara Hills Country Club. He served as chairman of the Benton & Adjoining Counties Cooperative Burial Association and the Keystone Cemetery Association. Bob enjoyed bowling and golfing for many years and was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinal fan.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Keystone; his son, Tim (Jay) Feuerbach of Keystone; his daughter, Amy (Dean) Wilgenbusch of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Kandi (Jayme) Busta of Atkins, Kelli (Todd) Ehlen of Grain Valley Mo., TJ (Ashley) Feuerbach of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jack, Millicent and Elizabeth Wilgenbusch of Dubuque; his great-grandchildren, Kasey, Danielle and Taylor Busta, Brandon, Allison, Alexandra, Zack and Afton Ehlen and Paxton and
Cameron Feuerbach.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Dilver and Orlyn Feuerbach.
A memorial fund has been established.
