Robert Michael Evans, 79, of Palm Springs, Calif., passed away quietly in the early morning hours of Dec. 24, 2016, following a short illness.
Robert was born April 12, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and graduated from St. Patrick's High School with the Class of 1955. Robert then served in the U.S. Air Force and attended nursing school in the East.
He migrated to California and opened and operated Robert Evans Florists in San Francisco for many years before slowing down and moving to Palm Springs, where he owned and operated Celebrity Tours until his retirement.
Robert is survived by his spouse, Rob Albrecht; a sister, Mary Faith Knapp; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rojo and Patricia Ramage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Evans and Faye Craft; a brother, John Evans; and a sister, Catherine Durr.
Robert was a kind and caring person and a great boss and friend to many. His shining star will be greatly missed.
Services are pending at St. Paul's of the Desert in Palm Springs.
