Robert (Bob) Dean Klocksiem, 73, died on February 2, 2024 at the Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, NV.
Bob was born on April 16, 1950 in Ft. Dodge, IA, to Dr. R.G. Klocksiem and M. Lucille (Sheppard) Klocksiem. Bob grew up in Rockwell City and received a B.A. degree in Journalism from Drake University with a major in advertising.
After graduation Bob joined a major hotel corporation and managed hotels in Kansas City, Rochester, MN, and Duluth, MN. While in Kansas City he worked on an MBA at Rockhurst College. Bob later moved to Nevada and worked as a supervisor of internal audit for a large casino and resort complex in Laughlin, NV. Upon retirement he moved to Las Vegas.
Bob is survived by his sisters, Penny (Jim) Hall and Pam Klocksiem, both of Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his parents, and younger sister, Debra Tychsen.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM, prior to the service. Reverend Doctor Heecheon Jeon will officiate. A luncheon will follow the service. Interment will be at the Memory Gardens Columbarium.
