Robert “Bob” Robertson, Sr., 84, of Middle Amana, passed away on February 6, 2024 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 1 pm to 3 pm, with sharing of memories beginning at 3 pm at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom.
Robert was born on January 20, 1940 to Vernet and Nelle Robison Robertson in Keokuk, Iowa. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for over 25 years. Bob was united in marriage to Karlene Mercer on December 3, 1967.
He was survived by his wife Karlene Adele Mercer Robertson of Middle Amana; 3 children: his daughter, Kimberly (Shawn) Gallardo of Santa Cruz, California; Barb (Chris) Wilson of Anamosa; Rob (Kristy) Robertson of Anamosa. Also surviving are 8 grandkids, Amanda Williams, Alexis Freitas; Jared Gallardo; Jordan, Evan, and Jenna Wilson; Ruby and Simon Robertson; 4 great-grandkids, Violet and Penelope Williams; Reese and Hank Freitas; siblings, Donna Dains; Tom Robertson; and Dick Robertson.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Vernet and Nelle Robertson; and his brother, Larry Robertson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family which will be used toward the COPD Foundation.
