Robert "Bob" Richard Bemer, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2020. Services and visitation are private. Burial will take
place at Cedar Memorial
Park Cemetery.
Bob was born May 11, 1936, in Covington, Iowa, and graduated from Palo High School in 1954. He married Patricia Serovy in August of 1956 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He worked as a foreman for the LeFebure Corporation in Cedar Rapids for many years, and retired from the Cedar Rapids Community School District. Fishing and hunting were some of his passions; he was a member of Twin Rivers Pheasants Forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Almyra (Fulton) Bemer; his wife, Patricia (Serovy) Bemer; and four siblings.
Survivors include his son, Scott (Debbie) Bemer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his daughter, Tammy (Tom) Decker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jenny (Brian) Olson of Cedar Rapids, Matt (Amanda) Bemer of Marshall, Minn., Katie (Gary) Halligan of Cedar Rapids, Andy (Patricia) Decker of Osaka, Japan, and Callie Bemer of Cedar Rapids; and his sister, Patricia Matson. Also surviving are his great-grandchildren, Will, Daphne, Jake, Lana, Anita and Hana.
Bob was a loving husband, dad and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
