Robert "Bob" Joseph Spellerberg, 90, of Fairfax, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. Services 10 a.m. Wednesday
at St. John XXIII Catholic Church by the Rev. Richmond Dzekoe. Burial: St. Patrick Cemetery, Fairfax. Friends may visit with the family today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. at the church.
Bob is survived by his brother, Mathew of Fairfax.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Clarence and William; and his sisters, Antoinette (Vernon) Kloubec and Dorothy (Ralph) Schulte.
Bob was born April 17, 1931, in Fairfax, the son of Mathew and Lydia Kulhavy Spellerberg. He was a 1949 graduate of St. Patrick High School and spent his life working the family farm.
Bob loved farming corn and beans. He enjoyed drinking coffee at Casey's and going to cattle sales, and was always cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous.
