Robert "Bob" Gustoff, 87, of Solon, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, in Mercy Medical Center. Services are private. Iowa Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
Bob was born on Dec. 9, 1934, in Jefferson, Iowa, the son of Henry and Wilma (Thaylar) Gustoff. He met and married Joyce Myers on Dec. 30, 1954, in Manchester, Iowa. He retired from Cryovac after 43 years of service. He played football in high School his senior year, they were unscored upon.
Leaving behind his wife of 67 years, Joyce; his son, David and wife Linda; his grandchildren, Melissa (Nate), Mindy, Jeff (Jen), Amanda (Brad), Andrea (Joey), Rachel, Steve Jr. (Elaine), Larry, Shavell (Nick) and Wendy (John); 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; his brother, Rick (Deb); sister-in-law, Janey; family friend, Rhonda; and many other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Steve and Robbie; his parents, Henry and Wilma; in-laws, Garland and Hazel Meyers; and his siblings, Pat, Donna and Ed.
