Robert "Bob" Carl Batteen, 73, of Lansing, passed away March 9, 2017, at Franciscan Mayo Hospital, La Crosse, Wis., during his valiant struggle with cancer.
Bob was born Sept. 6, 1943, in Waukon, Iowa, the son of Harris and Laurayne (Johnson) Batteen of Lansing.
Bob is survived by his wife, Karen (Walleser); his daughter, Marna (Brian) Hulshof, and grandchildren, Wyatt, Grace, Noah and Ella, of LeMars; his son, Bob (fiancee Michelle) Batteen, grandson, Ashton, and honorary granddaughters, Monica and Swen, of Vinton; and two sisters, Joan (Batteen) Walz of Poulsbo, Wash., and Carol Batteen of Seattle, Wash.
On Sunday, April 2, all family and friends are invited to share in a celebration of Bob's life at T.J. Hunters, Main Street, Lansing, from 3 to 8 p.m.
