Robert Arthur 'Bob' Domer
ROBERT ARTHUR "BOB" DOMER Vinton Robert Arthur "Bob" Domer, 77, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at his home in rural Vinton following a recent illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at the Vinton Presbyterian Church. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and attending their sporting events and activities. He and the boys liked to bet on their favorite teams; no one ever paid up, but they enjoyed bragging rights when their team won. Bob was a huge sports fan: playing golf, watching and attending NASCAR races and cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Bears and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce, of Vinton; two daughters, Cathy (Mike) Peters and Robin (Brandon) Dunbar, both of Vinton; one brother, Dennis (Janice) Domer of Tipton; and four grandsons, Forrest and Austin Peters and Chase and Cameron Dunbar.
