Robert Allan Cole, 79, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, in his home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Robert was born to Harold and Eileen on November 27, 1945, in Cedar Rapids and grew up in Norway, Iowa before graduating at Cedar Rapids Regis High School in 1963. He then served in the United States Navy from 1967-1969, before serving the local unions apprenticeship at Local 125, Pipe Fitter’s Union and worked the rest of his career as a pipe fitter.
He enjoyed tuning in to sports of all kinds and the occasional Budweiser.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Eileen and his older brother Ron. He is survived by his older brother Rick Cole of Williamsburg, Iowa, his younger sister Sue Barton of Aurora, Illinois, his daughter Kelly Nelson of Lakeville, Minnesota, and his son Michael Cole of Burbank, Illinois.
A memorial will be scheduled for a later date.
