Roberson, Morris 'Morry'
Morris “Morry” Roberson, 49, of Iowa City, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013. Celebration of Life services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Brosh Chapel in Solon, located at 100 S. Cedar St. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at Brosh Chapel in Solon. Private family inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Morris was born May 4, 1964, in Iowa City, the son of Jerome “Jerry” and Virginia Roberson. He graduated from Iowa City High in 1982. Morry was a longtime employee at New Pioneer Co-op in Coralville. He had a love of music and playing the guitar. Morry enjoyed working out at The Field House and caring for the many stray cats at his house. He enjoyed spending time with his friends as well as being active in his church. Morry will be remembered for his kind heart and big smile. Morry loved his family and spending time together.
Morry is survived by his mother, Virginia of Iowa City; sisters, Julie (Chuck) Roberson Bishop of Urbandale and Joan (Bill) Karr of Marion; nephews, Nathan (Amy) Totten and Brian Totten; and nieces, Hayley Totten and McKayla and Madison Karr.
Morry was preceded in death by his father Jerry; and his grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a local animal shelter or rescue league of the donor's choice.
