Robbie Frances Bowen Nargang, 91-year-old Leonard, Texas, resident, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017, at Texoma Medical Center at Denison, Texas.
She was born Feb. 17, 1926, in Ballinger, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Benton and Emma Kate Mayes Bowen. She married John G. Nargang on Nov. 27, 1945, in Dallas. She worked for over 40 years as a bookkeeper for Pratt A/V and Video in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She will be buried beside her husband of 54 years at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Robbie is survived by her grandchildren, Robyn "Tori" Thomas of Reading, Pa., and John Benton Thomas of Tulsa, Okla.; her great-granddaughter, Stella Elizabeth Thomas of Tulsa; her brother, Jack Bowen of Van Alstyne, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, T.B. and Emma Kate Bowen; her husband, John G. Nargang; her daughter, Donna Jeanne (Nargang) Thomas; her sister, Billie Jo Edwards; and her brother, T.W. Bowen Sr.
Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.
