Rink, Janet
Janet Rink, 75, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at the Heritage Manor in Dubuque, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello, with interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Rev. Keith Birch will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a Scripture service at 8 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Gene) Kula of Springville, and Sheryl (Scott) Snyder of Monticello; her special friend, Chuck Hurt; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Steiner of Menominee Falls, Wis., and Patsy (Gary) Wernimont of Monticello; and three brothers, Gerald (Ruth Harms) Muller, W. Carl (Mary) Muller, both of Monticello, and Jim (Mary Ann) Muller of Cameron, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Rink; an infant daughter, Debra Lee; and a brother, Bill.
Janet Marie Muller was born Aug. 18, 1936, at Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Walter E. and Veda A. Podhaski Muller. She received her education at the Sacred Heart Catholic School in Monticello. Janet married Arnold Holub on Nov. 23, 1954. Over the years she was employed at Collins Radio, LeFebure, Buds Super Valu, the Showroom, Lou's Place and the Star Dust Lounge in Delhi. Janet married Tom Rink on July 3, 1982, at Delhi, Iowa. The couple lived in Hopkinton, until Tom's death in 1994. In recent years, Janet had lived at Sand Springs, Iowa. She enjoyed bowling in the Tuesday afternoon league in Monticello.
