Richardson, Thomas 'Tom' E.
Thomas “Tom” E. Richardson, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital following a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home by the Rev. Mark Ressler. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday after 9 a.m.
Tom is survived by four siblings, Alice Rogers of Cedar Rapids, Amos Richardson (Joyce Proctor) of Petersburg, Va., Bob (Dianne) Richardson of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Beth Richardson (Michael Barnhart) of Marion; two nephews, Scott Rogers (Kelly Moravec) of Woodbridge, Va., and Steve Rogers of Shoreview, Minn.; and one niece, Kari Barnhart of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Thomas Edmond was born April 4, 1951, in Iowa City, the son of Robert and Ruth (Waldron) Richardson. He spent many years working in San Jose and North Hollywood, Calif.
Tom was a very well read person who had an interesting perspective on life and he was also a friend of Bill W. His true gifts were shown through his company. Tom was pleasant, easy to be around, and had a wicked sense of humor. He enjoyed playing and listening to music, reading, and cooking.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
