Richard Clinton Strausser, 78, of Cedar Rapids, left his earthly home Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
Services celebrating his life will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Cedar Hills Community Church by Pastor Kent Landhuis. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the church.
Richard is survived by his wife, Jean; four children, Kim Strausser and Jeff Strausser (Patty Bray) of Cedar Rapids, Kelli (Randy Zimmerman) Strausser of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Jonn (Lisa) Strausser of Anamosa; 10 grandchildren, Alicia Meade of Solon, Cindy (Jay) Griffith and Bobbie Sines (Steve Hoover) of Cedar Rapids, Dan Noehl, CJ Hoffpauir (Sondra) and Kristina (Tony) Simmons of Marion, Katie (Matt) Walton of Clutier, Matt (Kelsey) Strausser of Iowa City and Bailey and Maddie Strausser of Anamosa; 22 great-grandchildren; special friend, Casey; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Evelyn Morse, Elsie Nelson and Elizabeth Grier; brother-in-law, Ellis Morse; two nephews; and three nieces.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
