He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sons, Randy and Wayne.
Richard Theodore Rieniets was born April 26, 1933, in Monticello, Iowa, the son of Theodore and Mabel Lucille Zeadow Rieniets. Dick attended the rural schools in Richland Township, Jones County, Iowa. He started farming with his parents until he went on to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Richard Rieniets married Marilyn Kenoyer on Sept. 1, 1957, in Norwalk, Iowa. The couple made their home in Monticello, where Dick worked at Georgia Pacific for over 38 years. He retired as general manager.
Dick loved to spend time outside at home or going out to the country, woodworking in his shop and restoring his 1933 Chevy truck. He always looked forward to going deer hunting every year.
The family would like to thank his two home health care workers for the past three years, Annie Kracke and Tiffany Kemp, for all the wonderful care. They made it possible for Richard to stay at home with Marilyn where he wanted to be.
