RICHARD "RICK" TALCOTT

Richard "Rick" Talcott passed away suddenly on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021. Born Feb. 28, 1954, to Wilfred and Bernice Talcott in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Rick married LaWona Kaye Exline on Nov. 7, 1987, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will
be held on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Andreas) Talcott-Chadwick and granddaughter Clarke Kaye, all of Vinton; a sister-in-law, Linda (Gary) Talcott; two nephews, Chris and Pat Talcott; and many beloved extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, his loving wife, and an infant son.
Rick retired in 2016 after serving many years in the HR and workplace safety industries. In his retirement Rick enjoyed the finer things in life and celebrating the small, beautiful moments. He loved leather working, collecting western memorabilia, and his dog Olivia. Above all else, Rick rejoiced in laughing with his family and friends.
