Rick Brown, a long-time resident of Winterset, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, in Laurens, South Carolina, at the age of 72.
Rick is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Becky Brown, his daughter Melanie Giordano, and his cherished granddaughter Olivia. He is also survived by his wonderful sister, Laura Brown Denny, brother-in-law, William Denny, his nieces, Elizabeth and Megan and 4 great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Twyla Brown, as well as his brother, David Brown.
Rick spent 23 years of his career with Pepsi-Cola, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Then he worked for Star Construction Co. for 20 years before retiring in 2019. He embraced life fully, was a dedicated Iowa Hawkeye fan, enjoyed travel, fishing, and golfing, especially when shared with Becky, his steadfast companion in all things.
Rick will be remembered for his humor, loyalty, and the love he carried for his family and friends.
