Richard Pickering Jr. of Hadlyme, Conn., died June 17, 2014.
Rich is survived by his
son, Tyler Prowell of Charleston, S.C.; his nieces, Elizabeth Mitchell of Indianapolis,
Eleanor Prowell of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Ann Prowell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandnephew, Warner Mitchell; his sister, Leonora Prowell of New York City; and his brother, William Prowell of Cedar Rapids.
Rich was a lover of people and all things outdoors and there was no better companion for any adventure.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at St. Ann's Church, 82 Shore Rd., Old Lyme, Conn.
