Richard Allen Lethem, 60, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life service: 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Visitation will follow with a luncheon beginning at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rick is survived by his wife, Sue; daughters, Annie (Jeromy) Larimore of Cedar Rapids and Amy Lethem of Marion; grandchildren, Braydin Schuler and Brianna and Nattalee Larimore; parents, Ronald and Ruth Lethem of Marion; sisters, Carolyn (Ron) Schram of Ames and Marsha (Mark) Mitchell of Mineral Point, Wis.; brother, David (Tammy) Lethem of Fort Meyers, Fla.; mother-in-law, Virginia Flannagan of Marion; brothers- and sisters-in law, Mark (Karla) Flannagan of Hiawatha, Mike (Joan) Flannagan of Marion and Tom (Deb) Flannagan of Ryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rick was born Sept. 21, 1955, in Fort Dodge, the son of Ronald and Ruth (Hogan) Lethem. On April 26, 1980, he married Glenda Sue Flannagan at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion. Rick worked at Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids for many years. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed fishing and football, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. Rick loved spending time with his grandchildren and was very proud of his family.
A memorial fund has been established in Rick's memory.
