Richard Lee Olmstead Jr., 53, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Springville, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021. There will be a Celebration of Life on Jan. 31 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Hiawatha American Legion.
Richard was born Jan. 30, 1967, in Fort Campbell, Ky. He served in the United States Army.
Richard is survived by his fiancé, Becky Frank; children, Brandon (Allie) Olmstead and Brent (Robin) Olmstead; seven grandchildren; sisters, Brenda (Steve) Olmstead and Pam (James) Moeller; many cousins; and parents, Dick and Sue Olmstead.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marissa Ann Olmstead-Gerken; and his grandparents on both sides of his family.
